In my haze of apathy, I somehow missed where Davis Webb is no longer competing for the starting job. This time last year Davis was a legit NFL prospect (according to observers close to the program) coming off a big bowl win, bulked up, in control of the offense in the Spring, "it's his team now", they said. Now, Pat Mahomes is the most important man on campus.
Is Davis transferring? Is he not progressing? Are we ever going to have a junior QB start at Tech again?
No knock on Mahomes, because I see upside, but if I'm Davis I would be getting 'Rocky IV' motivated for the Fall. Cliff Note's version is fine and if this has been addressed in countless RRC's, just sum up the issues.
