1. Colin Schooler - 338
2. Tony Fields - 325
3. Paddy Fisher 322
I couldn’t find a website to verify this but I’m pretty sure it’s accurate. This article says Schooler was second behind Fisher before the season started, and Northwestern played their first game of the season on Saturday.
I’m not sure what Schooler plans on doing next season. It would be great to have him back as he seems to be getting more and more comfortable in Patterson’s defense. It will be a wild offseason when seniors allover the country decide if they’ll take advantage of the extra year of eligibility.
You probably remember Tony Fields from Saturday’s game against WVU. He got ejected early in the game for targeting against Colombi. He was Schooler’s teammate at Arizona. I thought it was somewhat of a weak call, but it’s certainly nice to be on the receiving end of one of those. Oh, and thanks for making the boneheaded decision to run back out on the field after being ejected.
Paddy Fisher was a linebacker at Katy High School and teammates with former commit, Collin Wilder. For whatever reason, Gibbs never decided to offer Fisher and I seem to remember he was definitely interested in Texas Tech. Damn, what an awful decision.
