Welcome to my Weekly Game Day Thread Highlights, where each week I'll hand-select my favorite posts from the weekly game thread. These will include posts that I find entertaining, insightful, inane, ridiculous, provocative, and absurd. I hope you will as well. The Red Raiders wandered into the Wetlands at Jack Trice this past weekend for a slogfest with former Big 12 north foe, the Iowa State Cyclones. It was defensive delight to begin the game as the offenses seemed stuck in the mire. Tech led early with strong special teams play, but in the end the Cyclones' defense proved to dam up the Red Raider offense, and came away with the victory. Our valient game day posters mucked through the swamp to add to the hilarity of the day. To mirror the game, one set of posters started out strong but ended up being overcome by the noise of another set by game's end.
Remember folks, water conservation is important! Turn off your sprinklers, grab your favorite salty snack, and bear with me, for this one's a doozy. Here, are your game thread highlights of week 8!
