John Carter - US Representative (R-TX 31st District) and Texas Tech Alum, Spoke at my place of employment today. He fielded about 20 questions ranging from gay rights to the oil crisis. Very conservative and stuck to his guns throughout the session.

I talked to him afterword and told him I was also a Tech grad. He said he's very involved still with Texas Tech and tries to make at least one home game each season.
