to everyone connected with Texas Tech basketball for a second place finish in the Big 12. This is a great accomplishment considering how tough this league is and that we had to play down the stretch with key players injured. I believe we were only 3 points short of a tie for the title (I think I have that right) which again is an amazing accomplishment.
It was great to see this group of seniors go out this way and to see everyone back on the court and starting to play closer to their best. If everyone can continue to heal up over the next couple of weeks there is every reason to be optimistic about this team in the NCAA tourney.
Thank you to everyone involved for providing a great season of entertainment. The work ethic and unselfish nature of this team will make it one of my favorites in watching Tech teams play for many years now. Wishing this team the best the rest of this year!
