Congratulations John Scovell- 2015 Distinguished Texan

The National Football Foundation-Gridiron Club of Dallas Chapter has named former Texas Tech quarterback John Scovell as the 2015 Distinguished Texan Award Recipient. "This is the most prestigious award given annually and pays tribute to an outstanding person who has maintained a lifetime of interest in the game of football and has been a significant contributor to the betterment of the game" quoting from the announcement.

John has served as a Texas Tech Regent and has been a long time Texas Tech Alumni Association Board confidant. I am very proud to call him a friend and congratulate him on this award.
