Alaska, South Dakota, Maine, Vermont, Minnesota and Oregon have ditched Columbus Day in favor of celebrating Native Americans. Ordinarily I lean on the side of history. For example, I am not for taking down Confederate statues (though I find them personally offensive). However, in this case I think the rest of the country should follow their lead.
