After getting exposed by ACU & Wash St. Both with rosters at least on paper less talented than TT.
Is there a coaching strength anywhere on the staff or are we always at a disadvantage?
We all know the offensive is hot garbage. How can we not adapt vs what seems like throwing darts at a playbook? I’d rather run the ball 50 times a game and line up in the I - formation with play action than what’s currently taking place. At least we can make our guys have to get physical and wear other teams down that don’t have depth- which is everyone we play outside of a couple of teams.
While the defense has been bad in itself, we don’t ever do them any favors. DeRuyter is the only coach that gets the benefit of doubt.
There doesn’t seem to be any actual coaching strategy. It doesn’t make sense how it can be so bad in yr 3 with no signs of improvement.
In recruiting, where is all this athletisism we keep hearing about? This train is off the tracks. I want it to work for McGuire. But good god, it’s been awful on the actually coaching end.
