I have a 12 year old son that loves everything Texas Tech. He is in 7th grade and about to turn 13 in 5 days. He played football for his 7th grade team here in Tomball this year. He likes football but he loves basketball. Unfortunately early in the season he broke his wrist. He was a trooper and played with a cast several games. The last week of the season he blew out his ACL. Unbelievable. Poor guy. He is about to have major reconstructive surgery and looking at a 9-12 month rehab. Obviously he can’t play basketball this year and he is very frustrated about that. My wife and I found a website called Cameo and Coach Beard is on there. Of course there is a cost but he was only obligated to do approximately 30 seconds. He ended up doing well over 3 minutes. We gave him information about our son and his situation. Coach Beards video was incredible. He was so motivating. He literally did the video yesterday in the shirt he wore on the sideline last night. We showed our son a few minutes before the Oklahoma game then watched Texas Tech win a big road game by 2 points. Oh and by the way Coach was so specific in his message we knew exactly when “kev” as he said would be playing again and how he has stayed focused and positive during his rehab.
