The Red Raider Confidential is sponsored by Cardinal's Sports Center. If you
need Texas Tech gear or Under Armour apparel, the best place to go in our
opinion is Cardinal's -- they have three convenient locations in Lubbock, a
brand new store in Plano and a fantastic selection on
their website.
Cardinal's
Wreck'em Tech T-Shirts are now available for purchase! They are the only
such t-shirts endorsed by Texas Tech and the Saddle Tramps. The Baylor game is
in a little over a week, so be sure to get your gameday gear in time to Red Out the Cotton
Bowl.
Wilson Will 'Definitely Visit
Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson linebacker Ramik Wilson doesn't plan on
taking any official visits until after the end of the season, but he already has
an idea of which programs he'll be checking out when that time comes.
"I will definitely visit Tech," he said. "Tech, Purdue, Arkansas and Georgia are
the places I know I am going to visit. I am looking forward to seeing what each
school brings to the table. I will come see Tech, no doubt. I am positive they
are going to get an official."
Wilson's Jefferson squad is 4-0 on the season.

Evans Is 100 Percent With Raiders
Grand Prairie (Texas) South Grand Prairie defensive lineman Kindred Evans won't
be taking his official visit to Tech until after the season, but did make it up
to Lubbock for the program's game against Texas two weeks ago.
"It was crazy, man," he said. "Their fans are loud and are easily the best fans
in college football. It was great."
We asked Evans if any other schools had been showing him any interest recently,
and he said that he hasn't really been focusing much on the recruiting process
since committing to the Red Raiders.
"I haven't really been paying attention to that, to be honest with you," he
said. "I know where I'm going. I'm Texas Tech 100 percent."

Interesting Quote From Derek David
SoonerScoop.com's Josh McCuistion, our good friend and colleague, spoke
to Rockdale (Texas) linebacker Derek David recently about his
upcoming trip to Dallas to check out Oklahoma's Red River Rivalry matchup with
Texas. The conversation was rather brief, but lasted long enough for the 2012
Texas Tech commit to make an interesting comment.
"I like Oklahoma, I like Tech, but I don't know about Texas," he said.
Keep in mind, David was in Austin last Saturday for Texas' 34-12 loss to UCLA.

Edwards Helping Tech With 2012 Teammate
Brenham (Texas) defensive lineman Malcolm Brown picked up an
early offer from Tech this week, but explained to us this week that teammate and
Tech commit Derek Edwards had been talking to him about the Red
Raiders for quite some time.
"He's all about Tech," Brown said. "He's got a lot of good stuff to say about
them, but he wants me to go to the place that fits me best. It's all good with
that stuff.
"We've talked about it some, and I know where he stands. I don't know if he'll
affect my decision, but it's good to have somebody around that's going through
the same stuff."
Brenham is home to multiple Big 12-caliber 2012 prospects, so having a guy like
Edwards in their ear -- even a little bit -- could go a long way.

Reynolds Plans Official Visit
Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley defensive back and Tech commit Jeremy Reynolds
earlier this week told us this week that he plans to officially visit the South
Plains for the Oklahoma State game. He called me back when I was in the car, so
I don't have much in the way of direct quotes, but Reynolds told me that he
speaks frequently to Alfredo and Tony Morales and expects to see
them in Lubbock during his visit.
Reynolds also told me that a couple of Red Raider coaches dropped by Dudley last
week -- he said he felt "honored" that they traveled so far to evaluate him in
person.
The 5-foot-9, 163-pound standout closed by noting that he is "100 percent"
locked in with Tech.

Williams Still Wants To Visit Tech
Tampa (Fla.) Robinson athlete Frankie Williams was scheduled to
visit Tech for the Texas game, but wasn't able to make it due to personal
reasons.
"I wasn't able to make it out there. It didn't have anything to do with me and
Texas Tech, just some other things on my end. It just turned out to not be a
great time to do it," Williams said. "I haven't scheduled another visit with
Tech yet, but I'm working on it. It will probably happen after the season is
over. The coaches have encouraged me to wait until then so that we can focus on
the visit without a lot of other distractions."
Williams said he calls running backs Chad Scott
"probably once a week." The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder also added an offer from Ole
Miss this week.
