So I've lived in Houston for 10 years and never run into an ounce of trouble. My wife has lived here for 30 years and never experienced anything either.
Last night, both of our cars were broken into, and the jerkoffs stole about $5k worth of property out of my trunk. I had just returned home from an exhausting business trip and I left my suitcase in my trunk. Sure enough, that's the one night I get popped.
Anyway, my wife is freaking out and I'm not sure she'll ever stay here alone again, despite the fact that this was mostly likely an isolated smash & grab. They also hit 3 other cars on my street last night.
I know others have been in the same spot, how did you respond & how did you settle your family down?
