ok, @Robert G, the RRC email link to purchase tickets through the school’s allocation leads me to a dead end in this way: the site clearly states that, if chosen, the ticket account holder must show up IN PERSON at the Athletic ticket office to pick up their tickets. No other option for delivery appears to be available. The deadline to get the request in place is 5 pm Monday. And I must enter the credit card information to get my request placed. So, if I’m judged to have enough RRC clout to receive some of the allotment, my card will be charged Tuesday morning and then I’ll have to drive 700 Miles round trip to pick them up? Really?
And the land only travel package deal which includes hotel and game tickets is a wait list situation while the travel agency measures out when the request wait list numbers reach enough to open up more space. I was told by the operator on their phone that something additional might open up but it might not either and we might not know until later in the week. At least their phone was answered.
I would have expected the Tech ticket office to be open today to answer these type of questions. Maybe all schools run things this way or
maybe we’re just too new to this deal to be effective. It shouldn’t be this difficult. If Beard is worried about attendance, maybe Tech ought to be better at this distribution problem. Anyone else with ideas on how to place a request?
