I'm looking for some recommendations on a "self help" type book on management.
I have been an account manager/sales rep at a large technology company for a few years, and my higher ups recently expressed interest in me getting into sales management.
I've decided that I need to do some reading about management to, if nothing else, give myself something to talk about in an interview, but also to have some sort of direction for when the time comes that I would actually start managing people.
Does anyone have any books that they recommend? I am about to start reading How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, but that book is not geared specifically towards management.
Any recommendations?
