You're driving next to a bicycle lane and need to turn right. Do you:
a.) Get over into the bicycle lane (but halfway out into the other lane) and turn or;
b.) Turn from the "right lane", crossing the bicycle lane perpendicularly?
I always do "B" and just turn from the right lane since I'm not on a bicycle and can't fit in its lane. I see most other cars just merging over into the bicycle lane which to me serves no purpose because you're still taking up half of the right lane. This morning I did "B" in front of a cop and he blew his siren at me. So now I'm thinking I've been wrong all along. I always thought the people driving in the bicycle lanes were obnoxious jerks but maybe it was me all along?
