The best schedule brings most of your tossup games to your house. If your team has an experience advantage, it helps to play them early. Weather can be advantageous, be it snow or heat, depending on what the opponent is used to. Good time for our off week? Do we dodge a tough game? Answer yes to all the above.
Of the 4 ranked teams we play (12 UT, 15 Oregon, 16 TCU, 17 KSU) 3 are at the Jones, and we skip #19 OU.
Looking closer.... Oregon only returns 9 starters, has a new OC, and ain't used to the heat. 2nd game on the road, their trailer AC unit breaks, and they see us in the shade while the sun is beating on them the first half. Perfect.
KSU and their 2nd of back to back road games...love it. Lucky 7s. We go 7-0 and also end our 7 game losing streak to KSU at a sold out Jones.
TCU at night... sweet. Are TCU's 11 incoming transfers enough to offset 8 guys drafted and 5 more signed to free agent contracts (a Heisman QB runner up )? Hell no, and there won't be some lucky ass tip pass on a last minute 4th down to beat us. A fox comes out and bites the TCU frog as he leaves the field.

Finally, UT. Will Bama give them an early beat down that Evers, and the horns can't get over? Even a loss doesn't keep this game from deciding whether or not we play in the conference championship. Thanksgiving weekend, Friday night, prime time. Neither team will be unprepared for this battle and no prisoners will be taken. Show them our brand, and put it on BEVO.
There's not much koolaid left in Raiderland this summer. We need to take advantage of this schedule.
