about Kingsbury either getting fired or resigning, is it possible that the Mike Leach interview ruined any chance of that happening?
I think Kirby cringed when he saw Leach lobbying for the job and decided he didn't want anything to do with the firestorm that would have created, so he defaulted to giving Klif another year, saving us from another fractured fan base.
I bet Kirby really felt vindicated when Washington State tanked against Washington after the ridiculous timing of that interview...it was soooo typical Leach. I do wonder what would have happened if only Leach had kept his mouth shut last week.
Oh well...we may never know now. Hopefully, it was one of those moments in time where it turns out that we backed into the right decision.
