Despite faithfully attending multiple football games in Lubbock every year, I’d only been to one conference hoops game in Lubbock since moving away in ‘07.
Today, our family of 5 attended and had an absolute blast. In recent years, I’ve watched all these games on TV with the incredible atmosphere and really wanted to make it back for a conference game. It did not disappoint. We sat in section 121, which is usually the student section and it was so fun to watch Caleb Rogers lead the charge and interact with fans.
I could go on rambling but I’m just proud of what a home court advantage we’ve created. When we went on that big run late in the 2nd half, I thought the roof was going to blow off the arena. As Level has said multiple times, we can’t take this for granted. I’ve gotta start getting out here more for hoops game and would encourage others to do the same.
