I believe you'll hear some news very soon about a new facility that is strictly for athletes that would be a dining hall with some educational aspects pertaining to nutrition. I believe this will end up being presented to the BOR in the next week or two but my timing could be slightly off on that but a presentation is imminent.
The land for this new facility will be directly West of the Frazier Alumni Pavilion and I've heard as little as six million dollar price tag on it and as much to eight million.
As far as timetable, this will end up being built within the next year or two.
Right now the athletic department has to pay the alumni association about 80k a year for usage of the Pavilion from 11-1 on most weekdays.
