With all of the predictions and press gatherings starting now, I am sensing some very limited excitement in my Oh-Pa belly. Last year's outcome hurt so badly after my misplaced high expectations. It's like venturing out to get a new puppy after putting your dog down. It is so hard to endure the pain you don't want to restart the cycle that inevitably leads to that disappointment.
I am glad that AD and CL have kept their collective enthusiasm in check (from my perspective) because I want to buy in so badly that anytime I hear something positive I really get that feeling of "let's tap the brake on this." 82-27 is still burnt into my memory banks.
Going to Prevost's house is going to be fun and I hope that after analyzing all of the inputs there I will be able to get on board and get going into the fall.
