Texas Tech men's basketball signee Jordan Jackson suffered a right leg injury in St. Pius X's TAPPS Class 5A state semifinal game Friday night against Prestonwood Christian.

The extent of the injury is unknown at this time, and he expects to visit a doctor Saturday. He thought the injury could be a broken ankle but didn't expect it to require surgery.

Jackson is a three-star recruit and the No. 82 shooting guard and No. 311 player overall, according to 247Sports' Composite Rating. He is one of two players, joining three-star point guard C.J. Williamson, to have signed in the Red Raiders' 2015 class.

The Red Raiders have one more scholarship available for the 2015-16 season after junior forward Justin Jamison was dismissed from the team due to a violation of team rules.

Jackson, the son of former Red Raiders Eric Jackson and Sheryl Swoopes, committed to Tech during his official visit Oct. 12 to become the first member of their 2015 class.
