Another cold case murder solved through the use of ancesty sites and the stuff you all are sending in to them. The last case was in Indiana I believe where an 8 yr old was raped and killed in 1987 or so. DNA from the victim was submitted and after some work two brothers were identified. Little more work and the brother living in the crime area was arrested.
I believe the FBI reported (as a part of that news story above) that 160 or so DNA samples have been submitted in other cold cases and almost 50% of them have "hits" where the investigators can begin to piece together the connection from the DNA to the perpetrator. Game changing information.
