Rainy day so I'm in the house watching TCU/Baylor. For some reason I started thinking about who would be the all-time great players for each school. Some consider me an old. But I'm only 78 - so I think i just have more experience than most. That experience allows me to reach back in time (insofar as a 78 year old memory allows) as well. I thought about some of the great players at TCU and Baylor. Then I started thinking about other schools. That, naturally led me to our Red Raider greats. All-time? Who?
For the most important position, it's sorta no contest for me. Number 5, Mahomes!
Running back I'd go with Donny Anderson - because he could do so many things. Run the ball, catch the ball, punt, punt return, kick-off returns and he also, every now and again played DB. The other RB is more questionable but I'd go with Hanspard because of his speed - plus the fact that he did rush for 2,000+ yards one season. That's pretty good.
Pass catchers... Crabtree, Dave Parks and Welker and if we want a TE, Andre Tillman.
On defense, at LB I go with Z. Thomas and E.J. Holub. Who else? Gotta have one, maybe two, more. Who do you like? As for Holub, I'm going with the two way player there as he would be my center as well.
DL I have to put Gabe Rivera in there.
OK, the game is back on and I'm drawing blanks on completing the team.
If you're inclined list your al-timers.
