Well, I thought it took a big game from Tech to beat Oklahoma State in Lubbock a few weeks ago. I wasn't too surprised to see Tech lose in Stillwater minus the conference's Most Valuable Player.
When the jumpers fall, any team is hard to beat.
I thought Tech did a really great job of keeping their cool and fighting back to make it a game late. That was good to see.
I love Odiase, I think Tech is at their best when he is on the floor. But if Zach Smith were healthy I'm not sure Odiase sees as much PT as he does now. Something would have to give. The Raiders have already been playing at a really high level most of the season without their pre-season All Conference player in Smith. Now take away Evans and we see what we expect to see from most teams that suffer these kinds of injuries: Losses.
Raiders still played tough, for the most part, and had a chance late. This Tech team is pretty good but they are better with Evans! Here's hoping Saturday is a big welcome back party.
