$80 billion! This covers far more than the 80 new IRS agents they want to hire, but no one is really sure what the rest of it is for.
And from an IRS standpoint, Janet Yellen supports legislation in this bill that gives the IRS the ability to view all checking and savings accounts with either A) $600 or more, or B) any account that has a transaction of over $600 in it.
Now they will explain this as wanting to make sure everyone pays their taxes. But do you think that's really how it will be used? I'm picturing the data from all these accounts being used to create a list with every American who donated to a Republican candidate to be used as the list used for IRS audits. And it could go the other way with a Republican administration (though it's been the Democrats who have typically used the IRS in that manner).
The invasion of our privacy and deception of this administration is absolutely incredible.
