There's 1 large assumption in the "newcomers" section, but the rumor is he would be our last addition before the season. I put this together to familiarize everyone with who is now on our team.

Newcomers

- 6' 6" SR Davion Warren - Hampton University (2021 - 24.3 points per 40 min)

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Warren went JUCO out of HS and then played the last two seasons at Hampton. He was 13th nationally in scoring in 2021 and in the top 30 nationally for steals. He scored 20+ points 18 times, and 30+ 3 times. Along with leading the conference in scoring and steals, he was fourth in field goal percentage (.459), fifth in rebounds (6.3) and averaged three assists per game…Warren was also named Big South First Team All-Conference, BCSN All-American, HBCU All-Star Team 2020-21. More of a slasher than a shooter and needs to work on his ball handling. He was amongst the highest in the nation in turnovers.

- 6' 6" SR Adonis Arms - Winthrop University (2021 - 24.1 points per 40 min)

Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Arms was the MVP of the Mesa CC men's basketball team in 2016-17. He then transferred to Northwest Nazarene University where he was the 2019 Conference POY averaging 20.6 ppg, 5.4 rpg and 3.3 apg. He then transferred to a stacked tournament Winthrop team that went 23-1 and had an 11 man rotation. Arms was second on the team in scoring despite only averaging 17 min per game. It'll likely take some time to adjust going from Juco to D2 to mid-major to the Big 12, but he is a freak athlete with a 44" vertical and impressive numbers at every stop.

- 6'8" JR Kevin Obanor - Oral Roberts University (2021 - 23.4 points per 40 min)

Originally from Houston, Texas, Obanor as a RS junior in 2021 took the world by storm in March Madness, knocking off OSU, Florida, and nearly knocking off Arkansas while at Oral Roberts. He was All-Summit 1st Team, 4th best 3-point % in ORU history (.463), and has 1300+ career points and 680+ career rebounds. Led the Summit League with 15 double-doubles, including all 3 tournament games. Career high 39 points on 16/23 FG and 6/11 3PT in January vs. the University of Omaha.

- 6'8" SR Bryson Williams - UTEP (2021 - 19.2 points per 40 min)

Originally from Fresno, CA, Williams transferred from his hometown school to UTEP, following his head coach. He is an athletic four/five with very good inside-outside game. Highly efficient low-post scorer who drew a double team every night in C-USA. Capable 3-point shooter and driver.

- 6'3" SO Mylik Wilson - Louisiana (2021 - 15.3 points per 40 min)

Originally from Rayville, LA, Wilson was named 2020 Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year and 2020 Kyle Macy Freshman All-American Team. As a floor general for the Ragin' Cajuns in 2021, Wilson was 2nd on the team in scoring, and was among the nation's leaders in steals. A do-it-all, traditional PG with a large portion of his college career remaining.

- 6'6" JR Sardaar Calhoun - Florida St. (2021 - 14.9 points per 40 min)

Originally from Tappahannock, VA, Calhoun was ranked as the #3 JUCO player in the country averaging 18.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists, before playing at FSU last season. Calhoun is a solid mid-range and 3PT shooter and a strong defender. He has a long, strong frame and has the ability to create his own shot.

- 6'6" SO K.J. Allen - East LA JUCO (2021 - 26.9 points per 40 min)

Originally from Monterey Park, CA, and from the cast of Last Chance U, KJ Allen was the star of his JUCO team. With his strong, stocky frame and long arms, he has drawn comparisons to Baylor's Mark Vital. He was considered one of the top JUCO players in the country for 2021 and was originally committed to USC.

- 6'10" FR Daniel Batcho - Arizona (2021 - no stats)

Originally from Paris, France, Batcho transferred from the University of Arizona, where he sat out as a Freshman due to an injury. Named MVP of the adidas Next Generation Tournament February 2020, averaging 14.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocked shots while also shooting 69.7 percent inside the arc. He held offers from Arizona, Arizona St, Creighton, Miami, Virginia Tech, Washington St, and TCU a year ago before entering college, and was considered one of the top European prospects.
