Matt Wells shouldn't take the blame for the 2019 class. He walked into a terrible situation with the early signing period and did what he could to save the class during a coaching change. However, I think a lot of pressure is on Wells to get off to a fast start in the 2020 class and get some momentum.The 2020 class has got to be a strong one if Tech wants to start rebuilding this football program.
I think we will find out early on if in this recruiting cycle if Matt Wells and company are truly the right guys to lead this program or if we are stuck with another coach who can't recruit and get the talent we need to Lubbock to compete for big 12 championships.
