Trump isn't a fool when it comes to politics. He realized his tax cut bombed when most people realized who really benefited from it and blew up the deficit he swore it would eliminate. Since he has already called for another 1% cut for businesses and a cut in capital gains (wonder who benefits from those), he had to appease the middle class. So yesterday, right before midterms, he calls for a 10% cut for middle incomers. With the deficit projected to approach $1.3 trillion already, what's another $400 billion?. Not to mention that interest payments are approaching $5oo billion/yr with rates continuing to rise. With other countries already decreasing purchases of US securities and inflation popping its head up, its the perfect time for more tax cuts to spur economic growth when we're at full employment. But heh, Americans love to have their cake now. Worry about consequences later. He doesn't call himself the "King of Debt" without reason. He knows his fellow REpublicans will fall in line like always or he'll ruin them. And he can blast Dems for saying they don't want to help the middle class. Absolutely perfect. He'll soon convince everyone the US can file bankruptcy several times, too. In fact, we might as well add in that infrastructure spending he promised as well as that wall Mexico is paying for. This entire mess reminded me of when I went to a Rockets game 4 years ago with my grandson's choir. Saw a mom appease her intermediate school son (about 14) throughout the game with 2 hot dogs, 2 slices of pizza, 2 large cokes, popcorn, and a candy bar to top it off. Swear to God it's true. The kid was about 60 lbs overweight already and a future diabetic. But heh, it made him happy at the time. Like I said, Trump knows it will work.
Our Congress loves to make voters happy so they'll probably go all in too. If the deficit goes to $2 trillion, so what. They'll deal with that tomorrow after they get reelected and then blame the other party. Trump wasn't kidding when he called himself the "King of Debt". He believes the US can declare bankruptcy 4 times, too. But in all seriousness, this was a brilliant political move to win over more voters right before midterms. Add in the fear tactics while talking about MSM and Muslim terrorists hiding in the caravan. They're only 1000 miles away and walking really fast. Should be here to overwhelm our guards and military in about 4 months to rape and pillage and bring in drugs. Trump knows how to play the game.
