Jaylon Tyson:
-Tyson on his apparent injury: "I caught a cramp, I'll be straight."
-Tyson on his long awaited debut: "It was a dream come true. For real. I did feel like God had had it where I needed to be a Red Raider, you know. So now I get to finally put his uniform on and rep his uniform. So it was a blessing for sure."
-Tyson on hot start from deep early: "'It's really just coming out with confidence. You know, I'm saying we've been building confidence ever since we started. We can come out aggressive. We're always gonna come out aggressive on defense, we'll become aggressive on offense."
-Tyson on what he learned last year on bench: "My little break off of basketball or whatever you call it sitting on the bench, you know, that's one part of the game that I've tried to learn, try to be a vocal leader. I'm not the best at it, you know, but I'm definitely improving on it. And that's one of my goals is being a vocal leader. So yeah, just sitting on the bench for that long. You know, I'm saying I got to learn different aspects of the game, not just going out there and playing while also supporting the teammates, you know."
Daniel Batcho:
-Batcho on double-double performance: "I was just trying to be aggressive, set the tone early. My teammates did a good job of passing me the ball in the post and on pick and rolls."
-Batcho on the confidence the coaching staff has in him: "It's good to know, like the coaches believe in you. Like, they give you even more confidence. So he just like, makes me feel like everybody wants me to do it. Gives me confidence."
-Batcho on his growth from last year to this year: "I feel like it's really my mindset. Last year. I was really like, coming back from an injury, my first year in America. I was trying to figure it out. Find the rhythm. So I feel like more used to it, like I got I got way more confidence."
