OT: GOAT Horror Movie

Last night Alamo Drafthouse showed a screening of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). I saw this last-minute and made it ten minutes before showtime to what was weirdly a theater with no more than 10 people in it. I've seen it plenty of times but was my first time on the big screen. It was awesome. I could only imagine how it was in the 80s when it released.

Now, here's the question: What's the best horror movie in your opinion of all time?

My top three:

1. The Shining (it counts)
2. Halloween
3. Hereditary

Honorable mention: Suspiria (the OG)

Bless the Mood

I mentioned in another thread, but I came away almost laughing at the new UT basketball arena and environment. It felt small on TV, it sounded small on TV. It really felt and sounded like a WCC type atmosphere. Completely unbiased on this. I was genuinely unimpressed.

It really is like a small concert venue or big auditorium type feel.

Flashy, but completely unintimidating.

Cant wait to see it in person.

Double post issue

IT is aware and looking into a fix.

When you post and hit “Post thread” or “Post reply” don’t hit that button again, even if the preview does not disappear. The post is going live even though it does not appear to be. Clicking the button again is the reason for all the duplicates. You just have to refresh the page and your post will be there.

Bball: If I could give minutes

Obanor: 29
Tyson: 28
Harmon: 28
Batcho: 25
Pop: 20
Walton: 18
KJ: 12
Washington: 12
D. Williams: 12
Jennings: 8
Fisher: 8

Fisher is going to have to stop thinking so much and go play (which I started to see some at the end of the game). I also cant count on Daws being back this year. I feel like he will keep getting pushed back and then ask for a medical redshirt to come back next year.

This minute allotment would allow all of our guys to stay pretty rested while still having your main dudes on the floor the bulk of the time. If Pop keeps turning it over, he could be at 10-12 min with Kerwin picking up the slack.

Even though this team is not as versatile on the defensive end as we have seen, I think this is the most versatile team we've had in a long time. Most of these guys are above average to good in all categories instead of just being good at one or two things. 24 buckets on 19 assists. That's a good trend to start.

UT vs TCU. Who do we root for?

I’m having a really tough time with who I’d prefer win this game. I’d really like the entire stadium be magically teleported to the middle of the sun But that seems unlikely and one has to win. On one hand, I don’t know if I can take tcu going undefeated and making a playoff. On the other hand, texas winning and being “back” again would make them insufferable as well. I’m leaning towards wanting ut to win because we beat them and TCU’s hopes being crushed would be beautiful. What do we think?

Can Texas Tech and Arkansas secure the top classes in their history?

Sam Pittman

Sam Pittman (Nelson Chenault - USA Today)

Arkansas and Texas Tech are both flirting with securing their top respective recruiting classes in Rivals history this year, as long as they can maintain their key pieces while adding onto what has already been built.

Texas Tech currently sits with the No. 18 recruiting class in the country which would eclipse the Red Raiders' previous best of having the No. 20 class in the 2011 cycle.

For Arkansas, the Razorbacks sit with the No. 15 class in the country which would be better than their previous best of having the No. 16 class in the 2009 cycle. With the rankings expected to move around, Arkansas will need to add a couple pieces to maintain its high ranking, but it's possible that Sam Pittman can achieve something that hasn't been done in Fayetteville in well over two decades.
