Watercolor/30A Golf Courses

We are headed to Watercolor beach next week and plan to get out and play a couple of times through the week. There are lots of prior vacation posts on the board providing guidance on Watercolor / 30A restaurants, beaches, hotels, fishing, etc. However, I can't seem to track down any guidance on golf courses that should/could be played.

Do any of y'all have experience with playing the tracks down there that you can provide? Price point isn't an issue as we prefer quality over low-cost/value. I'm a member at DCC so its likely the pro shop can get us on at a private spot, but we'd prefer not to have to mess with reciprocation.

Thanks in advance.

Houston Offense Thoughts

WR - Our outside receivers had trouble separating deep but were solid moving the chains on out routes. Our inside receivers absolutely won this game for us on offense. Martinez proved he’s a legit talent, especially after the catch, and Price showed his speed.

RB - I thought Brooks was a warrior all night. Thompson must have stepped on the adhesive side of a Velcro strip on the way to the field. His cleats just kept getting stuck in the turf on his cuts.

QB - I’m still all in on Donovan Smith despite the brutal 4 possession stretch. The confidence he played with and plays he did make against constant pressure are what’s special here. The law of averages was bound to catch up with him given that kind of adversity. The amount of times he got us out of trouble and the dimes to Martinez/Price were big time finds. He does a great job of keeping his eyes down the field on scramble plays and he’s the type of dude that makes you hold your breath a bit because you just believe he’s going to get it done. Or, at least, me and Kosi Eldridge feel that way. I just loved the way he wiped that off and made enough plays at the end. If our tackles play like that every week, trust me in that he gives us the best chance to win due to his legs.

OL - That was brutal, but I thought they had a solid stretch in the 2nd quarter. To Rogers credit, Derek Parish is a dude.

Playcalling - It’s not easy to dial up calls when you’re losing the LOS as bad as we were. I’m always annoyed at OCs that stubbornly try to run an offense versus call good plays in those scenarios. It’s too late to fix with reps. Adjust, adapt. Kittley just continued to fight despite the deck being stacked against him. You almost never win games getting ripped that bad up front. But, Kittley gives us a chance to win some of them.

@ArmenW

what are the roadblocks to rebranding the double T?

yes another discussion on the double t

it seems like the flat double T has broad appeal to both fans and coaches. the social media team uses the old double t all the time. some schools have rebranded within the past 10 years to a more old school look and i think they all did a great job (oklahoma state, ncsu, tamu kinda, byu, houston, pitt to name a few). we have an elite color scheme and a pretty iconic logo - we are really trying to be the cool texas school and have a ton of potential on the branding front

are there significant roadblocks to a rebrand? or is there not much interest in the athletic department for such a thing. both?

ill hang up and listen and as always, thank you joey mac
