It's now officially August 1st on the East Coast which means a few things.
1) We're back in a dead period - no recruiting visits until September 1 or 48 hours before your home opener (for schools who play week 0)
2) It's "official offer" day. Texas Tech can officially offer class of 2024 recruits and you will start seeing some of those graphics, flyers, etc. posted on social media by the commits and targets.
3) New this year, rising juniors (class of 2025) can now officially be contacted by college coaches via text/DM/call/FaceTime/whatever. Previously, this used to be September 1, but new rules were passed this year to bump that date up. I think next year it moves up again to June 15th though I could be wrong on that.
I expect a busy day on social media tomorrow for recruiting.
