An Oklahoma judge has rejected motions for summary judgment from both Joe Wickline and Oklahoma State, a ruling that will send the dispute between Texas' offensive coordinator and his former employer to trial.

Oklahoma Associate District Judge Stephen Kistler issued the decision Monday, the latest step in a more than yearlong legal battle over Wickline's offensive play-calling duties at Texas and whether he owes Oklahoma State a buyout fee of nearly $600,000.

"There are genuine issues of material fact that justify a trial," Kistler wrote. "Neither party is entitled to judgment as a matter of law."

A pre-trial conference is tentatively scheduled for December, with a trial date set for March 8, 2016.
